Mark Benesiewicz graduated from California State University, Fresno with a major in accounting. After spending ten years in California, he decided to move back to Illinois in 2021, his childhood state, to be closer to his family and enjoy all the wonderful seasons Illinois has to offer even when he experiences them all in the span of a week. In his spare time, you’ll find Mark on the golf course working on his swing, playing soccer, or exploring the surrounding areas with his wife, Amanda. Mark is in the process of expanding his tax knowledge and finding better ways to assist his clients by pursing a master’s in taxation degree.

Favorite thing about NDH: The team at NDH. Working on tax returns and related projects will always be challenging and stressful against hard deadlines wherever you are. I am incredibly grateful to have a supportive and fun team around him to make the work less stressful and more enjoyable.
Favorite movie quote: “So you’re telling me there’s a chance…” Dumb and Dumber, 1994. Always loved the “glass half-filled” look on life and this quote captures it well.
What is your go-to karaoke song? Backstreet Boys – I want it that way. Fun Fact: there may be evidence of myself and friends in high school lip syncing in a choreographed video out there…
Favorite concert you’ve attended: Blink 182 and All-American Rejects. The punk rock hair may be gone but still very punk rock at heart.
What is the best dish you can cook? Gordon Ramsay inspired Shepherd’s Pie. A classic feel-good down to your soul type meal. It’s always so filling and loaded with flavor.
