Melody Burch has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2010. She began her career with an international family-owned manufacturing company where she was involved with domestic S-corporation and partnership income tax preparation. Her responsibilities included intangibles & goodwill, fixed assets, and state & local taxes. She also headed up the implementation and maintenance of a paperless tax department. After the birth of her fourth child, Melody decided to focus on her growing family and began her own practice working part-time. Her clients were mainly individuals and small businesses. Once her children were more independent, she joined another multi-generational family business, this time in the real estate industry. Over the past four years Melody has gained experience preparing complex multi-tiered partnership, S-corporation and fiduciary income tax returns. She was also responsible for the personal property tax returns in multiple states. She has completed a portion of a master’s degree in Taxation at Northern Illinois University and plans to complete this degree in the future. In her spare time, Melody spends time with her husband and four children on their small “farmette” in Wisconsin.
